A strategic view of housing decisions

People sometimes ask how a retired OB/GYN ended up in real estate. The honest answer: it is the same job. For more than two decades I coached families through the single most consequential moments of their lives, delivering babies and translating medical decisions into plain language at 2 a.m. Buying a home is a smaller high-wire act, but the psychology is identical. My job is to keep the process calm so the client can think clearly.

"I guide clients toward the right decision. I do not rush them toward a transaction."

The framework, in three steps

  1. Gather the data first. In medicine you do not cut before the scans come back. In real estate you do not offer before the lot line, the upgrade list, and the neighborhood facts are on the table.
  2. Talk in plain language. No jargon, no pressure math. If a house does not work for your life, no agent should be able to talk you into it.
  3. Decide on your timeline, not the market's. The right next step is the one you can live with. Sometimes that means writing an offer this week. Sometimes it means waiting a season.

What that looks like on 15500 Leopard Lily Ln

This listing is a good example of the method. On paper it is another Artavia resale. In the walkthrough it is a 15,540 sq ft cul-de-sac lot, an 18-foot great room, custom cabinetry installed after the original build, and a closet system built for two. I can tell you those facts in thirty seconds. I would rather walk you through them and let you judge what they are worth to you.

Start with a conversation

A housing decision affects your money, your mornings, and your family. It deserves the same seriousness you would bring to a health decision. Book a fifteen-minute call, no pressure and no obligation. We will talk about what you need, what you have seen, and what a sensible next step looks like. If we are a fit, we go from there together.
