Past weekend: September 26-27, 2026
Every date in this plan has passed. For what is on now, see the newest this-week edition covering October 12-18, 2026, the rest-of-October plan, the season-wide fall 2026 events roundup, or the new Halloween 2026 guide.
Fall officially began this week, and the weekend of September 26-27, 2026 is the first full fall weekend near Artavia, Conroe. Here is the short answer on what to do: an Oktoberfest at B-52 Brewing on Saturday, the High Caliber Gun Show at the Lone Star Convention & Expo Center, Shakespeare in the Park in The Woodlands, the opening weekend of P-6 Farms' fall festival, and two evenings of lake and concert plans before it, all within a short drive of 15500 Leopard Lily Ln. Every name, date, and venue below was checked against organizer and venue listings this week.
The weekend at a glance
Six events anchor the two days, and they split cleanly between Conroe, Montgomery, and The Woodlands, so you can build a day around one town or hop between two:
- Saturday, September 26: Fitness in the Park in Montgomery (8:30 a.m.), the High Caliber Gun Show in Conroe (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), B-52 Oktoberfest at the brewery (noon to 8 p.m.), and Shakespeare in the Park at Rob Fleming Park in The Woodlands (5 to 8 p.m.).
- All weekend: The Woodlands Fine Craft, Art & Design Show at the Waterway Marriott, Saturday and Sunday, and the 29th annual Woodlands Landscaping Solutions event Saturday morning (9 a.m. to noon, free).
- Sunday, September 27: The gun show continues (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.), P-6 Farms' fall festival is in its second day in Montgomery, and Dandiya Dhoom with Falguni Pathak closes the night at the GSH Event Center in The Woodlands (6:30 p.m.).
If you are comparing Artavia to a builder's neighborhood down the road, this is the weekend that shows the practical difference: an established community near a full event calendar versus waiting for one. Everything below is a short drive from the listing on Leopard Lily Ln, and several of the plans are free.
Saturday, September 26: Oktoberfest, the gun show, and Shakespeare in the Park
- B-52 Oktoberfest (“Oktoberfest in the Pines”), noon to 8 p.m. at B-52 Brewing, 12470 Milroy Ln, Conroe. Free entry, all ages, and pet friendly, with live music, stein-hoisting contests, cornhole, a keg roll, and food on site.
- High Caliber Gun Show (the Conroe Gun Knife Show), 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Lone Star Convention & Expo Center in Conroe. Admission is $10, with kids 12 and under free. Tickets and details are on the center's calendar at thelonestar.org.
- Shakespeare in the Park, 5 to 8 p.m. at Rob Fleming Park in The Woodlands. Points North Theatre Company performs The Merry Wives of Windsor outdoors with pre-show music, and the event is free.
- The Woodlands Fine Craft, Art & Design Show, Saturday and Sunday at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center, 1601 Lake Robbins Dr. A juried show with ticketed admission and a wide gift-and-craft range, a good indoor counterpoint to the outdoor plans.
- Fitness in the Park, 8:30 a.m. at the Pine Market District in Montgomery, hosted by Montgomery County Jazzercise: cardio at 8:30, sculpt and stretch at 9:15. Bring a mat, hand weights, and water.
- Silent Sky at the Owen Theatre in Conroe, 7:30 p.m., for an evening option close to home.
Sunday, September 27: pumpkin patches, crafts, and a slower pace
Sunday is the softer day of the pair, and it leans on Montgomery County's favorite seasonal anchor:
- P-6 Farms Fall Festival opening weekend. Saturdays and Sundays from September 26 through early November, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 9963 Pooles Rd, Montgomery. You-pick pumpkin patch, a giant corn maze, pig races, a petting zoo, tractor rides, and festival food. Admission is ticketed online, and the exact closing date and ticket prices shift by source, so confirm on p-6farms.com before you go.
- The Woodlands Fine Craft show continues through its second day at the Waterway Marriott.
- Dandiya Dhoom with Falguni Pathak, 6:30 p.m. at the GSH Event Center in The Woodlands, a ticketed Navratri-style dance evening to close the weekend.
The Conroe Sunday Market at the Conroe North Kroger runs on first and third Sundays, so September 27 is not a market Sunday. The next one is October 4, which pairs nicely with the Grand Central Park Artisan Market the day before, covered in the fall 2026 events roundup.
Before the weekend: Thursday and Friday nights
Two plans land before Saturday if you want to stretch the fall kickoff across the whole week:
- Thursday, September 24: the Lake Conroe Thursday Night Sailboat Races. The Lake Conroe Sailing Association's fall series continues at 6:00 p.m., with crews gathering at Pier 4 in the Seven Coves parking lot around 4:00 to 4:15 p.m.; the races typically start near the Lake Conroe Lighthouse and sail to Ayers Island and back. Remaining dates in the series are October 1 and October 8, weather permitting. Schedule at lakeconroesailing.com.
- Thursday, September 24: Empire of the Sun plays The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands.
- Friday, September 25: Kylie Frey live at The Table, the music room in downtown Conroe. The venue posts its lineup at conroetable.com.
Why the weekend calendar matters when you buy
A neighborhood is only as good as how often you actually leave the house to enjoy it, and Artavia's advantage is that the calendar is already full from day one. On a move-in-ready resale like 15500 Leopard Lily Ln that starts this weekend: Oktoberfest, the gun show, the park show, and the pumpkin patch are all a short drive away, and the 15,540 sq ft cul-de-sac lot with its covered patio gives you the room to host your own share of the season once the festival days end. See the photo gallery for the backyard, or the neighborhood page for schools, commutes, and more of the local calendar.
For the rest of the season, the fall 2026 events roundup covers October and November, and the September 14-20 this-week edition is archived as a past roundup. The next this-week plan, September 28 through October 4, covers Lobsterfest, Conroe First Friday, the Lake Conroe Duck Race, and Montgomery Fall Fest.
Event names, dates, venues, and hours were confirmed against organizer and venue listings as of September 21, 2026, including the Lone Star Convention & Expo Center, B-52 Brewing, Woodlands Online and Hello Woodlands event calendars, Points North Theatre Company, Pine Market District, the Lake Conroe Sailing Association, Conroe Table, and P-6 Farms.
