Planning the week of September 28 through October 4, 2026 near Artavia, Conroe? Here is the short answer: Thursday brings the 40th annual Lobsterfest dinner and Mumford & Sons at the Pavilion, Friday is Conroe's First Friday downtown, and Saturday, October 3 is the busiest single day of the stretch, with the Lake Conroe Duck Race, Montgomery Fall Fest, and the St. Ignatius of Loyola Fall Festival all within about 20 minutes of 15500 Leopard Lily Ln. Every name, date, and venue below was checked against organizer and venue listings when this edition was published.

Past week: September 28-October 4, 2026

Every date in this plan has passed. For what is on now, see the newest this-week edition covering October 12-18, 2026, the new rest-of-October plan, the season-wide fall 2026 events roundup, or the Halloween 2026 guide.

The week at a glance

  • Thursday, October 1: The 40th annual Lobsterfest kicks off with a chamber dinner at the Lone Star Convention & Expo Center in Conroe (6 to 10 p.m.), while Mumford & Sons plays The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands (7:30 p.m.).
  • Friday, October 2: Conroe First Friday takes over downtown Conroe for the monthly street event, Lobsterfest's golf tournament runs at Panorama Golf Club, and Boz Scaggs plays the Pavilion (7 p.m.). Back home, Artavia's own First Friday Flamingle social returns to the amenity center.

  • Sunday, October 4: The St. Ignatius festival closes its weekend, P-6 Farms runs its second Sunday, and TLC & Salt-N-Pepa with En Vogue wrap the week at the Pavilion (7:30 p.m.).

The older September 14-20 edition is archived as a past roundup, and the September 26-27 weekend guide covered that weekend and is now archived too, since every date in it has passed. Everything in this post was the week ahead when it was published, and every date in it has now passed.

Thursday, October 1: Lobsterfest, the Pavilion, and a community kickoff

  • 40th annual Lobsterfest, chamber dinner. 6 to 10 p.m. at the Lone Star Convention & Expo Center, 9055 Airport Rd, Conroe. The Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce's signature fundraiser, presented by Woodforest National Bank, is a ticketed evening that books up ahead of time. Details and tickets are on the chamber's event page at chamber.conroe.org.
  • Mumford & Sons, Prizefighter Tour. 7:30 p.m. at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, 2005 Lake Robbins Dr, The Woodlands, with the Marcus King Band opening. Tickets and seating at woodlandscenter.org.
  • Lake Conroe Thursday Night Sailboat Races. The Lake Conroe Sailing Association's fall series continues at 6:00 p.m. near the Lake Conroe Lighthouse, with crews gathering at Pier 4 in the Seven Coves parking lot from around 4:00 p.m. Schedule and updates at lakeconroesailing.com.
  • Boo Bash & Pumpkin Stash opens at Grand Central Park, October 1 through 31. The neighboring Conroe community just west of Artavia off the I-45 corridor runs its seasonal kickoff all month, with pumpkins, photo spots, and family activities posted at grandcentralparktx.com.

Friday, October 2: First Friday downtown and a quieter night at the lake

  • Conroe First Friday in downtown Historic Conroe is the monthly street event with live music, vendors, food trucks, and gallery hours along the square. It is on the City of Conroe's monthly calendar and is a reliable warm-up for the festival season; confirm the night's lineup with the organizers before you head out.
  • Boz Scaggs, Rhythm Review 2026. 7:00 p.m. at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, a ticketed Pavilion night close to home.
  • Lobsterfest golf tournament, day two. Friday at Panorama Golf Club on Lake Conroe, the chamber fundraiser's second half, followed by the Saturday open events at the fairgrounds complex.
  • First Friday Flamingle inside Artavia. The community's monthly neighbor social at the Dapple Gray amenity center falls on the first Friday, so October 2 is the edition to circle. The lifestyle calendar lives on artaviatx.com and in the resident app, so confirm the time as the date gets close.

Saturday, October 3: the busy day

Saturday is the day to pick a lane, or hop between two towns. In the morning, two free events sit within about 15 minutes of each other; by afternoon the festival action switches to Montgomery; and the evening belongs to music:

  • The Woodlands Farmers Market. 9:00 a.m. to noon in the Grogan's Mill area of The Woodlands, every Saturday, with produce and prepared foods from regional vendors. Listed on The Woodlands' community event calendar at woodlandsonline.com.
  • Meet the Fleet. 9:00 a.m. to noon at The Woodlands Township Town Hall, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd. A free, hands-on event with fire trucks, service vehicles, and public-safety vehicles on display, plus kids' activities and demos. Details at Hello Woodlands.
  • 19th Annual Duck Race. Saturday at Margaritaville Lake Resort on Lake Conroe, a rubber-duck fundraiser benefiting the Community Assistance Center. A lakefront morning with a cause, and a short drive north on the lake road.
  • Montgomery Fall Fest. 1:00 to 10:00 p.m. at Guitars & Classic Cars Ranch in Montgomery. Food trucks, local vendors, a kids zone, and a petting zoo by day, with Randall King headlining the music in the evening. Entry is free and family-friendly; lineup and details at montgomeryfallfest.com.
  • St. Ignatius of Loyola Fall Festival. Saturday and Sunday, October 3-4, free entry, with food, kids' games, bingo, 50-plus vendor booths, and a beer and wine garden. One of the area's biggest church festivals of the season, listed in the Hello Woodlands fall festival roundup.
  • Eagle Fest featuring ZZ Top with Cheap Trick. 6:00 p.m. at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, tickets at woodlandscenter.org.
  • P-6 Farms Fall Festival, second weekend. Saturdays and Sundays, 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 9963 Pooles Rd, Montgomery. You-pick pumpkins, the giant corn maze, pig races, rides, and tractor rides, with early-autumn light perfect for photos. Confirm hours on p-6farms.com.
  • Grand Central Park Artisan Market. Saturday at Grand Central Park, the monthly maker market in the neighboring Conroe community; the full October calendar, including the Boo Bash kickoff, is at grandcentralparktx.com.

Sunday, October 4: festival day two and an iconic double bill

  • St. Ignatius of Loyola Fall Festival, day two. The festival continues Sunday with the same food, games, and vendors.
  • P-6 Farms. The fall festival's Sunday session runs 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., a gentle way to close the weekend with kids.
  • TLC & Salt-N-Pepa with En Vogue, "It's Iconic." 7:30 p.m. at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, a triple-bill night to end the week, tickets at woodlandscenter.org.

Looking ahead: the Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival and the Ren Fest season

The week after this one brought the biggest festival weekend of the Conroe fall. The day-by-day plan for October 5-11, including the Catfish Festival hours, the Ren Fest opening day, and the week's Pavilion concerts, is in the October 5-11 edition, kept up as an archive since every date in it has passed; the newest this-week edition for October 12-18 plans the week ahead:

  • Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival. Friday through Sunday, October 9-11, 2026, at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds, 9333 Airport Rd, Conroe. Two stages of live music, Cajun food vendors, arts and crafts, and the carnival rides, with Casey Donahew headlining Saturday, October 10. (has passed) The fall 2026 events roundup has the fuller October and November picture.
  • Texas Renaissance Festival season. The 52nd season at Plantersville opens Saturday, October 10, 2026, and runs Saturdays and Sundays through November 29 plus Thanksgiving Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., about 25 minutes north of the neighborhood. The full schedule is confirmed on texrenfest.com.

And for everything pumpkin patches, trunk-or-treats, and haunted houses from now through Halloween, the new Halloween 2026 guide for Artavia has the verified dates and prices.

Why the calendar matters when you buy in Artavia

A neighborhood earns its keep in weeks like this one: four different event towns within about 20 minutes, a monthly community social inside Artavia itself, and the lake as the throughline. On a move-in-ready resale like 15500 Leopard Lily Ln, that lifestyle starts on day one, and the 15,540 sq ft cul-de-sac lot with its covered patio gives you the room to host your own share of the season once the festival days end. See the photo gallery for the house and backyard, or the neighborhood page for schools, commutes, and more of the local calendar.

For the family-angle plan across the season, the family fall guide covers Dapple Park and the kid-friendly dates, the parks, trails, and lake guide maps the outdoor side of the neighborhood, and the where-to-eat guide sorts the Palate Cafe and the local coffee, breakfast, and dinner stops.

Event names, dates, venues, and hours were confirmed against organizer and venue listings as of September 24, 2026, including the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce (Lobsterfest), The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion (woodlandscenter.org), the City of Conroe First Friday calendar, Hello Woodlands and Community Impact event roundups, Grand Central Park, Montgomery Fall Fest, St. Ignatius of Loyola, the Woodlands Township, and the Lake Conroe Sailing Association. Hours, tickets, and lineups change; confirm directly with each organizer before you go.
